About Me

Before embarking on my career as a celebrant, I was a secondary school Drama Teacher for eighteen years. Despite enjoying my life in the teaching profession, I felt a calling to assist others to mark and celebrate the important moments in life.

Once I had made my decision to follow this important path, I began my training. It was of the utmost importance to me to be well trained to work with people to undertake responsibility for guiding them through such important rites of passage. Firstly, I embarked on the National Qualification Level 3 Diploma in Naming and Couples Ceremonies NOCN with the Ofsted 'Outstanding' rated training provider Civil Ceremonies Ltd. I then undertook the IPHM Sacred Celebrant qualification to allow me to conduct a range of elemental ceremonies and rites with the Sacred Celebrant's Academy in Glastonbury. Finally I achieved my Certificate in Funeral Celebrancy with the excellent Funeral Celebrant's Academy.

Since completing my training and working as an independent funeral and wedding celebrant, I have also trainned other celebrants to conduct traditional elemantal celebrations such as Handfastings and Passing Over ceremonies.

I believe that every funeral should be heart-felt, memorable and as unique as each individual. It is the celebrant's job to ensure that they tell the story of the life that has been lived. A funeral should enable you to say goodbye to your loved one in a meaningful way, and allow you the time to remember and celebrate the person that they were.

I live in Pontypool, South Wales and I am able to conduct funerals, memorials and elemental ceremonies throughout South Wales and the South West. I am also able to travel further if required, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
